The town is located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Massif Montenegre. Santa Susanna become its own town in 1842 after being part of Castillo de Palafolls. It is home to charming narrow streets alongside various old buildings and monuments.

The wider region itself is synonymous with agriculture. Much of its organically-grown fruit and vegetables can be purchased locally and can be enjoyed in the town’s good number of restaurants.
