Stick with us, we will be bringing you the hottest festivals to attend this year over the next few weeks. In this first post, we take a look at Coachella. Taking place over two weekends, April 10th-12th and 17th-19th, there's loads to get excited about. Coachella has it all, music, fashion, A-list celebrities and people from every corner of the earth. Who wouldn’t want to attend? Coachella is an annual, two weekend, music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio California, located in the inland Empire’s Coachella valley in the Colorado desert. Getting to the festival might be a tricky task, nevertheless it is well worth it. Headlining this year's festival will be rock gods AC/DC, Jack White of the White Stripes and Raconteurs, and hip-hop rapper, Drake. Already, a little something for everyone there! People from all walks of life trek to the Colorado desert excited and looking to connect with fellow music lovers with a common goal in mind. To watch their favourite bands or artist perform, all the while looking good whilst doing it. One of the noticeable things at Coachella is the effort people put into looking fashionable and stylish, so make sure you are up to date with the latest festival trends and arrive to make a fashion statement. It's worth taking a camera just for the festival-goers if nothing else! If you are attending Coachella this year, we advise you to drink plenty of water and be prepared to tackle the vicious desert sun. Look after yourself and be 'sensible' (I know, that word is mostly banned from festivals!) and you can avoid fatigue and make the most of the weekend by enjoying the talent of musical acts the festival will have on offer. Make sure you scope out the scene and find the best places to eat, stay and explore before and after the festival, arrange transportation from the airport to resort. Also, be prepared to spend a lot of money because Coachella is not cheap. If you are a regular festival-goer then you should be aware the pain you have to endure because of queues for everything. We warn you now, Coachella’s massive queues can be annoying. Start working on honing your patience skills now, because you will be waiting in long lines for toilets, food and pretty much anything. Coachella is one of the biggest and coolest music festival around at the moment (and has been for years, making it renown world-wide), so do not let those long toilet queues put you off. Get your festival gear ready, jump on that plane and get yourself to Coachella this year and enjoy that desert sunshine, you might find that you’re dancing next to Hollywood starts like Leonardo DiCaprio...!
