If you have always wanted to go travelling for a couple months around Thailand but never got the chance, then don’t worry! You can experience the backpacker life in just two weeks. We’ve listed some of the top places to visit so you can experience everything Thailand has to offer.

You can travel to different towns via buses and boat transfers, these can be pre-booked online or once your in Thailand, they are sold everywhere. You can fly internally, this is a quicker way to travel however more expensive then a bus or ferry transfers.

If you’re visiting Thailand, there’s one stop you must make and that’s Bangkok. This vibrant city is a must-see for the culture, temples, food and constant nightlife. Some of the top sights we recommend visiting are Grand Palace Temple and Wat Phra Kaew, take a cruise down Chao Phraya river and of course, take a trip to Khao San Road for a bustling night out to remember.

Krabi is perfect for those looking to enjoy some day trips and explore islands. You can stay in Krabi town, which is busier than the coast, while Ao Nang has a perfect balance - it’s not overcrowded but there’s plenty of bars, restaurants and it’s right on the beach. One of the top things to do here is to visit Railay Beach or if you want to fit a bunch of islands into one day, you can find tour companies that will take you via boat to James Bond Island, Hong Island and Railay Beach. You can also find kayak trips, ATV and rock climbing tours.

Koh Samui

Koh Samui is located further north and is situated by Koh Pha-ngan and Ko Tao. Koh Samui is a small island with stunning long beaches full of 5* resorts. This island is perfect for relaxing on, spending time away from the busy town centres.

Koh Pha-ngan

This party island is the world-renowned home of the Full Moon Party. These parties are held every full moon and are a must if you’re visiting Thailand. The island erupts with bar stalls, neon paint and fire dancers. The party runs all night until the early hours of the next day on Haad Rin. The island also offers lots of fun activities like the famous Slip N Fly Party.

There are a lot of places to stay in Phuket, such as Patong which is very lively and perfect if you want cheap nights out that last all night long. Meanwhile, Karon is known for the big Buddha statue and its endless sandy beach. Kata Beach has amazing viewpoints and beaches, plus a range of restaurants, and is a little quieter than other towns. Kamala Beach has affordable hotels and restaurants located right on the beach, the nightlife, however, isn’t as lively as elsewhere on the island.

Phi Phi

Phi Phi is a beautiful island with plenty to do. We recommend staying here for a few nights. The small island has no motor vehicles, only bikes and walking. The waters are crystal clear and there’s plenty to do on the island. Visit the famous Maya Bay from the film ‘The Beach’ (although time it well as the beach will be closed to tourists from June – September 2018), or visit monkey beach? Then hike up to the viewpoint to witness the stunning island, before sampling the buzzing nightlife and range of restaurants.
