La Rosiere

La Rosiere , France is located in the heart of the French Alps in the Upper Tarantaise and Savoie skiing area on the French/ Italian border. La Rosiere forms part of the L'Espace San Bernardo skiing ski area, it has a great snow record. Skiing in La Rosiere opened on 12 December, the season ends in late April. La Rosiere's location gives it the advantage of catching weather systems from Italy and France. Often La Rosiere has above average snowfalls for the Tarentaise region with snow throughout the resort at the end of April. La Rosiere and Les Eucherts form a pretty, south facing resort that catches plenty of sunshine which is great for a relaxing ski holiday. Designed in the early 1980s, La Rosiere is sympathetic to its environment using local building materials such as stone, wood and slate for its ski chalets and hotels as opposed to some of the concrete block architecture that was popular in earlier ski resorts.
La Rosiere labels itself as "Famille Plus Montagne" (Family and Mountain) because of its numerous child friendly facilities and activities that make it a great destination for a family ski holiday or for a mixed ability group holiday.
