Malaga Airport (AGP)

Are you planning your holiday to Malaga? If you’re booking your break in the sun and want an easy and reliable way to get to your accommodation, choose hoppa for your Malaga Airport transfers.

Whether you want to arrange transport from Malaga Airport to Benalamadena; you’re trying to work out the best route to Fuengirola; or you’re already looking ahead to the return journey, we have all your transfer needs covered. Our team of transport partners can easily get you to where you need to go, so all you have to do is relax and enjoy your holiday.

How do I book my Malaga airport transfers?

We want your booking process to be as smooth as possible. That’s why we’ve created a four-stage system that means you’ll have your airport transfers in Malaga confirmed in no time.

To get things started, all you have to do is let us know the dates you’re going to be travelling and how many of you there will be in your travel group. You can enter these details in the search bar. This will bring up what’s available for your journey.

From there, you can choose between a shuttle bus or one of our private transfers. We have a wide range of vehicles available, from city cars to people carriers, thanks to our partners who provide a selection of cars and buses to suit your travel needs.

Once you’ve made your choice, you’ll reach the ‘Extras’ stage of your booking. This gives you estimated journey times from the airport and features the ‘Anything we can help with?’ box. This is the section where you can tell us about what you need for your transfer.

Do you have any unusual luggage? Maybe you require special assistance, or perhaps you want to request an adapted car for a motorised wheelchair? Simply fill out what you need in the box, and we’ll find you the best vehicle to fit. You’ll also need to add a note in this section if you have a foldable wheelchair. This is so that your driver can help you when you get to your vehicle.

When you’re happy with your booking details, you’ll complete your booking by filling out your flight information. We’ll need this so we know when to expect you at Malaga Airport.

Shuttle bus service or private transport: which is for me?

Our private Malaga transfers and shuttle buses both aim to get you to where you need to go, but there are some clear differences between the two. To help you choose, here’s a look at how they work.

How does private transport work?

When you book a private transfer, you and those you’re holidaying with will be the only passengers in the car or people carrier. You’ll all be taken directly to your holiday accommodation from the airport.

Private transfer passengers are also given a scheduled pick-up time. This time is included on the e-ticket, so you’ll know when to expect your driver when you land at Palma Airport.

What if I choose a shuttle bus?

Are you thinking of hopping on a Malaga Airport bus? Our shuttle buses are a fantastic, low-cost option where you can get to your holiday accommodation with ease. You might have to wait for up to 45 minutes before setting off from the airport if you want to travel by bus. This is because other passengers will be arriving on different flights.

Also, unlike private transfers, you’ll share the journey to your hotel or villa with other holidaymakers. Fellow passengers are dropped off along the way and your accommodation will be one of the drop-off points.

What’s my luggage allowance?

Everyone in your party can bring one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage along, whether you’ve booked private transfers from Malaga Airport to Estepona, or a shuttle bus to Marbella. We’ll confirm this when you book, but make sure you check the vehicle is going to be suitable for the luggage that you’ll have with you before you travel.

What happens next?

After you’ve completed your booking, we’ll send you an e-ticket. You’ll find everything you need to know about your transfers from Malaga Airport on your ticket, such as where to find your driver when you land in Malaga, plus pick-up and drop-off times.

We suggest you print your ticket. This is just so you can show it to your driver as proof of your booking when you meet them at the airport. Also, if you’ve booked a return transfer with us for the journey to your flight home, you’ll need to hang onto it until the end of your holiday so keep it safe.

Where do I go when I arrive at Malaga Airport?

When you land at Malaga Airport, where you meet your driver will depend on the type of transfer you’ve booked, the travel partner that has been assigned to your booking, and the vehicle that you’re travelling in. The pick-up details for your booking are located on your e-ticket, so make sure you refer to this when you arrive in Malaga.

Some instructions will direct you to Viajes Rusadir Stand (stand number seven), located in the tour operator’s area. If you’ve been directed to this point, make sure you don’t leave the arrivals hall until you’ve found this desk and located your travel representative.

You might have an e-ticket that requests you meet your driver in the arrivals hall. If you’re being directed here, you’ll see your travel representative holding a signboard displaying your name.

Whatever the instructions, always show the driver your e-ticket.

If you can’t see any directions on your e-ticket, call the number in the ‘Find my pickup’ section of the ticket to find out what to do next.

I can’t find my driver

Now and then, our drivers can be slightly delayed due to traffic. If you can’t see them when you reach the pick-up point, call the number on your e-ticket to get an update. You’ll be asked for the reference number, which is on your ticket.

What if my flight into Malaga is delayed?

Sometimes things don’t go to plan. However, we want to help you get your holiday started as soon as possible, so if your flight’s delayed or your luggage hasn’t arrived on time, your driver will wait for 45 minutes.

We always recommend that you call the number on your e-ticket if you know there’ll be a hold up, even if it falls within the 45 minutes. A new driver might be sent to you for delays of over the 45-minute waiting time, so keeping us posted is very helpful for us to be able to

For any delays that go over three hours, you’ll need to rearrange your transfers with us and claim through your travel insurance.

What can I find at Malaga Airport?

Malaga Airport is the fourth-busiest airport in Spain and a bustling hub for holidaymakers. In 2017, a record 18.6 million passengers flew in and out of the airport, making it a go-to choice for travellers.

As it’s so popular, Malaga becomes a busy airport in the peak season, so it’s worth thinking ahead and booking your transfers with us. Not only will you avoid long queues for taxis from Malaga Airport, but you’ll be able to visit the many shops, eateries and duty-free while you’re here.

Where shall I meet my driver for my return transfer?

Getting back to the airport at the end of your holiday couldn’t be easier:

Private transfers

If you’re using a private vehicle to take you back to the airport, you’ll find information in the ‘Find my pick up’ section of your e-ticket detailing the time your driver will arrive at your accommodation. Aim to be ready to be collected 15 minutes before your pick-up time.

If you opt into receiving SMS messages from us when you make your booking, we’ll send you a reminder text. If you can’t find your driver or you can’t make the collection time for any reason, call one of the emergency numbers listed on your ticket.

Shuttle bus transfers

Using one of our shuttle buses for your Malaga Airport transfers? We’ll let you know your pick-up time 24 hours before your plane departure time.

You’ll receive a text message detailing the time you’ll be collected if you’ve opted to receive SMS messages, or you can check online. Click on the ‘My bookings’ and ‘Get my pick-up time’ links. If you can’t find your pick-up time the day before you fly, call the number on your e-ticket for the details.

Get to your pick-up point at least 10 minutes before your bus arrives. If your bus is late, call the emergency number on your e-ticket to get information about timings.
