How do I book my Tenerife transfers?

For a quick, no-fuss booking service, we have everything covered. To arrange your Tenerife transfers, let us know in the search bar the dates you’re travelling and how many of you will be in your group.

We’ll then send you a list of transfer options that are available for your journey. You’ll be able to take your pick from shuttle buses or private transfers from Tenerife South.

When you make your selection, you’ll reach the ‘Extras’ stage of your booking. This is where you’ll see the ‘Anything we can help with?’ box, which is your chance to tell us about your individual requirements for your transfer.

For example, if you have any unusual luggage, or you need an adapted car for a motorised wheelchair, just fill out what you need in the box, and we’ll do the rest. Should you have a foldable wheelchair with you, let us know in this section too so that your driver can offer you some assistance when you arrive in Tenerife.

Once you’ve completed your booking, we’ll send an e-ticket to your email address. We recommend you print this off as your driver will request to see it.

Should I choose a shuttle bus service or private transport?

The type of transfer you choose will depend on factors such as how you like to travel and whether you have any specific requirements.

If you book a private transfer, you and those you’re holidaying with will be the only passengers. You’ll all be taken directly to your holiday accommodation from the airport and you can choose a vehicle that suits your needs, such as wheelchair access or extra room for luggage.

When you choose to travel by shuttle bus for your Tenerife transfers, you’ll share the journey to your accommodation with other holidaymakers. There are designated drop-off points along the way and the driver will have a list of where everyone is staying, so there’s set route to follow.

Also, when you’re choosing between private transfers and shuttle bus you might want to consider the pick-up process. With private transfers, you’ll be given specific pick-up times for both your trip to your accommodation and the journey back, and these timings are included on the e-ticket. This means you’ll know when and where to expect your driver.

Shuttle bus passengers, on the other hand, may have to wait for up to 45 minutes before setting off from the airport. This is because other passengers will be arriving on different flights and you’ll be sharing your transfer journey with them.

Is there a luggage limit for Tenerife transfers?

Whichever transfer transport you choose, everyone in your party can bring one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage. We’ll confirm this with you when you book but check before you travel to make sure your vehicle is the right fit for the number of people and the amount of luggage each of you will have. If, for example, you are bringing four people and a pushchair, you’ll need to book a vehicle for five people.

What happens when I get to Tenerife South Airport?

When you arrive at Tenerife South Airport, where you meet your driver will usually depend on the type of transfer you’ve selected and the transfer partner who is operating the service. Check your e-ticket for directions when you reach arrivals so that you know where you need to go.

We tend to direct our transfer passengers to hoppa desk Number 3, which you’ll find in the arrivals hall and marked with the words ‘Canary shuttle’. When you meet your travel representative, show them your ticket and they’ll tell you where you need to go next.

Always check your e-ticket to make sure you’re following the most up-to-date details. If you can’t see any directions on your ticket, call the number in the ‘Find my pick-up’ section of your ticket for information about what you need to do next.

What if my driver’s not there at TFS South?

Our drivers can sometimes be slightly delayed due to traffic. If you can’t find your driver when you arrive in Tenerife, call the number on your e-ticket to get an update. You’ll be asked for your reference number, which you’ll see on your ticket, and we’ll let you know how long they’ll be.

My flight into Tenerife is delayed, what now?

We know that not everything goes to plan. That’s why when your flight is delayed or your luggage hasn’t arrived, your driver will wait for you for 45 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time. We suggest you call the number on your e-ticket as soon as you know there might be a hold-up so we can start making alternative arrangements. We may send a new driver to you if you’re delated for over 45 minutes, so it’s helpful to keep us posted.

If your delay runs over three hours, you’ll need to rearrange your transfers with us and then claim through your travel insurance.

Tenerife South is the largest of the two airports in Tenerife. It’s also the Canary Islands’ second-busiest airport, with over 12.3 million passengers arriving and departing in 2023 and an average of eight million passengers annually over the last 15 years.

Whether you’ve just arrived or you’re waiting for your flight, there’s lots on offer here, with eateries serving up tapas, shops selling souvenirs, plus a range of services.

Where shall I meet my driver for my return Private transfer?

If you opt for a private transfer to take you back for your return flight, you’ll need to check your e-ticket carefully as this will detail the time that your driver will arrive at your holiday accommodation to collect you. We ask you to be ready 15 minutes before your pick-up time.

You’ll also receive a reminder text if you opt in to receive SMS messages from hoppa when you make your booking. Should things not go to plan on the day, call one of the emergency numbers listed on your ticket.

Where shall I meet my driver for my return Shuttle transfer?

If you choose to travel via shuttle bus for your Tenerife South Airport transfer, you’ll be able to check your pick-up time 24 hours before your plane departure time. We’ll either send you a text message if you’ve enabled receiving SMS messages on booking, or you can check online. Click on the ‘My bookings’ and ‘Get my pick-up time’ links.

Can’t find your pick-up time the day before you fly? Don’t worry. Simply call the number on your ticket and we’ll explain how to reach your return transfer.

Arrive at least 10 minutes before your bus is scheduled to get to the pick-up point so that you have plenty of time. Call the emergency number on your e-ticket if your bus is late so that we can find out where your driver is.

What if my flight is cancelled?

If your flight is cancelled, contact us immediately so we can reschedule your transfer based on your new arrival details. We will do our best to accommodate changes and minimise any disruption to your journey.
