How does booking Majorca Airport transfers with hoppa work?

When it comes to booking your Majorca transfers, we have everything covered to bring you a hassle-free service. All you have to do is let us know the dates and how many people will be travelling in the search bar, and we’ll show you all the transfer options available for your journey.

Do you want to hop on a shuttle bus, or would you prefer one of our private transfers? Majorca is one of our most popular destinations, so we have plenty of vehicles available to get you to where you want to go.

When you’ve made your selection, you’ll see that you’re in the ‘Extras’ part of your booking. Here, you’ll find the ‘Anything we can help with?’ box. This is your chance to tell us about what you need for your transfer.

If you require special assistance, have any unusual luggage, or you want to request an adapted car for a motorised wheelchair, just fill out what you need in the box, and we’ll find you the best vehicle for your needs. Also, add a note in this section if you have a foldable wheelchair so that your driver can help you out when you arrive.

After you’ve completed your booking, we’ll send an e-ticket to your email address. You’ll find everything you need to know about your Majorca transfers on your ticket, from timings to how to find your driver when you arrive at Palma Airport. It also includes details about your return trip to the airport at the end of your holiday, so keep hold of it.

We recommend you print this off. This is just so you can show it to your driver as proof of your booking when you meet them at the airport.

Should I choose a shuttle bus service or private transport?

The type of transfer you choose depends on how you’d like to travel.

If you book a private transfer, it will just be you and those you’re holidaying with who’ll be in the vehicle. You’ll all be taken directly to your holiday accommodation from the airport.

Should you opt for a shuttle bus for your Palma transfers, you’ll share the journey to your hotel or villa with lots of other holidaymakers. There are drop-off points along the way and the driver will have a list of everyone’s accommodation, so there will be a set route to follow.

Also, you might want to consider the pick-up process when you’re choosing between the two transfer options. If you book a private vehicle, you’ll be given a scheduled pick-up time. This time is included on the e-ticket, so you’ll know when to expect your driver when you land at Palma Airport.

Shuttle bus passengers may have to wait for up to 45 minutes before setting off from the airport. This is because other passengers will be arriving on different flights.

How much luggage can I bring?

Whether you’re taking a private taxi from Palma Airport or you’ve selected a shuttle bus, everyone in your party is generally allowed to bring one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage along. This is confirmed when you book but check before you travel to make sure your vehicle is going to be suitable for the luggage that you’ll have with you.

What happens when I get to Palma Airport?

When you arrive at Palma Airport, where you meet your driver will depend on the type of transfer you’ve selected:

Shuttle bus passengers

If you’re a shuttle bus passenger, collect your luggage and head to the hoppa/Momento desk, which you’ll find opposite Exit B between pillars two and three. Show your e-ticket to our transport representative and they’ll take you to your vehicle or a waiting area.

Always check your e-ticket to make sure you’re following the most up-to-date details.

Private vehicle passengers

There are two sets of instructions for those travelling by private transfer, depending on the dates you will be travelling to Palma Airport, so look carefully at your e-ticket to make sure you’re following the correct information.

The first set of directions guide you to go to the airport information desk after you’ve collected your luggage. There, you’ll see one of our representatives waiting for you holding a sign featuring the hoppa logo and your name.

The second set of directions recommend that, once you’ve collected your luggage, you should head to the hoppa/Momento desk, located between pillars two and three and opposite Exit B. Your hoppa representative will be waiting for you there.

Whichever instructions you need to follow, you’ll need to show our representative your e-ticket and they’ll take you to your vehicle.

What if my driver’s not there?

Sometimes our drivers can be slightly delayed due to traffic. If you can’t see them when you get to your designated meeting point, call the number on your e-ticket a to get an update. You’ll be asked for your reference number, which is on your ticket, and then they should be able to tell you where your driver is.

What if my flight into Majorca is delayed?

We want to help get your holiday started with no hiccups, but we can help if things don’t go to plan. If your flight’s delayed or your luggage hasn’t arrived, your driver will wait for 45 minutes, however we suggest you call the number on your e-ticket just in case. A new driver might be sent to you for delays of over 45 minutes, so it’s useful to keep us posted.

For any delays that go over three hours, you’ll need to rearrange your transfers with us. You can then claim through your travel insurance.

What’s on offer at Palma Airport?

Palma de Mallorca Airport dates back to the 1920s and is now the third-largest airport in Spain. Whether you’re flying in or jetting off, you’ll find plenty of shops and eateries to keep you comfortable during your travels, plus duty-free, a pharmacy and other essentials.

2016 saw a record 24 million passengers, making it one of the busiest airports in the country. This means that you’ll be joining many visitors to the island this year. By arranging your transfers with us, you can avoid any long queues for taxis from Palma Airport and instead head straight to your vehicle.

Where do I need to go to be picked up for my return flight?

We’ve created a seamless pick-up system that means you know exactly where you need to be before your flight home.

Pick-up times for private transfers

If you’ve booked a private transfer to take you back for your return flight, your driver will arrive at your holiday accommodation at a set time, which is included in the ‘Find my pick up’ section of your e-ticket. We always ask you to be ready 15 minutes before your pick-up time.

If you opt into receiving SMS messages from hoppa when you make your booking, we’ll also text you with a reminder of the time you’ll be collected. Should something go wrong on the day, call one of the emergency numbers listed on your ticket.

Shuttle bus pick-up times

For Palma Airport transfers via shuttle bus to the airport, your pick-up time will be available 24 hours before your plane departure time. We’ll either send you a text message detailing your pick-up time if you’ve opted in to receive SMS messages or you can check online. Click on the ‘My bookings’ and ‘Get my pick-up time’ links.

If you can’t find your pick-up time the day before you fly, call the number on your ticket.

Get to your pick-up point at least 10 minutes before your bus arrives so that you have plenty of time. If your bus is late, call the emergency number on your e-ticket and we’ll find out where your driver is.
