Slano is a village and small harbor in southern Croatia, in the bay, located 27 km northwest of Dubrovnik. Main occupations include Farming, olive-growing, viniculture, fruit-growing, tobacco, herbs, fishing and tourism.

The area of Slano was already populated in the prehistoric period.The Franciscan church was built in the 16th century and the main altar is adorned with a polyptych by Lovro Dobričević.
