Should I go for the shuttle bus or private transport?

There’s no wrong option here – both our shuttle buses and private hire vehicles offer a smooth and stress-free journey. There are, however, some key differences to consider between the two, which should help you decide which option suits you best.

Shuttle bus

  • The best option for those looking for cheap transfer from Chania airport.
  • Your group will be accompanied by other holidaymakers transferring from the airport, with set drop-off points established along the route.
  • Typically, you’ll set off around 45 minutes after arriving at Chania Intl., in order to allow all passengers to arrive for the upcoming journey.

Private transport

  • The best option for those looking for the quickest and most direct airport transfer from Chania airport.
  • Your party will be the only passengers aboard and will be driven directly to your accommodation, with no drop-off points along the way.
  • You’ll set off at a scheduled pick-up time as listed on your e-ticket.

How much will the transfers cost?

When you search for your Chania airport transfers, you’ll find prices listed against both shuttle and private options. The cost of your transfers will be the price that’s listed against your preferred transport method at the time of booking.

It’s worth noting that all of our rates are based on live valuations which can fluctuate due to things like resort pricing and local currency changes. So, if you do book with us then search again at a later date and find a different cost, don’t worry – your price is fixed at the total you were given at the time of booking.

I’ve chosen my transport – what’s next?

Once you’ve chosen your preferred transport method, you’ll reach the ‘Extras’ page, which feature’s our ‘Anything we can help with?’ box. If you have any special requirements, make sure to tell us about them here.

You may, for example, require wheelchair access and assistance on your transfer from Chania airport to Chania town. If you let us know beforehand, we can find the appropriate vehicle to meet your needs and keep the trip running smoothly.

Is there a luggage allowance?

Yes – it’s one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per person, for both shuttle and private transport. If you need more allowance than this or have luggage which requires extra care in transit, let us know in the ‘Anything we can help with?’ box so we can look to find suitable transport.

The e-ticket

On completion of your booking with us, we’ll send you an e-ticket. It’s hugely important you have access to this for all of your journeys with us as it acts as both confirmation of your booking and a handy information guide on your airport transfers from Chania.

It’s best that you print your e-ticket off before your flight to have alongside online access via your phone. This way you’ll have your ticket, in one form or another, to show to your driver upon arrival in Chania, plus you’ll have instructions to hand on how to find them.

Where should I go once I’ve landed?

On your e-ticket, you’ll find a section titled ‘Find my pickup’. In that section, you’ll find instructions on where and when to meet your driver, along with any additional information you might need. If you can’t find the information you need or can’t see any displayed, give us a call via the number on your ticket.

Details will vary based on whether you’re travelling via shuttle or privately, and also depending on which provider is running your transfer.

Finding the driver

We organise things so that it should be simple to meet your driver, however, if you can’t find your driver for whatever reason, call the emergency number on your ticket.

What happens if I’m running late?

Delays happen, and our drivers will wait for you for up to 45 minutes after the designated pick up time. If you know you’re going to be late, even if it’s within the 45-minute lieu period, you’ll need to let us know via the emergency number.

If you’re delayed longer than 45 minutes, we’ll need to arrange another driver to come and meet you. If you’re over three hours late, you’ll need to rearrange your transfers with us and contact your travel insurer.
