Experience an Ancient Greek Market by taking a stroll around this well-preserved archaeological site. Ruins include the Shrines of Aphrodite and Hercules.
As with anywhere in Greece, Kos, the third-largest Dodecanese island, is soaked in more history than you’ll have time to discover in just one holiday. There are Corinthian columns at every turn, the fortress in Kos Town is definitely worth a visit, and Hippocrates’ ancient sanatorium too. If a wander through this paradise is more your thing there are also plenty of eons-old pillars lying casually by the road playing host to flora and fauna.
Kos is more than ancient history. It also has a vibrant present and offers a cornucopia of treasures from lush, fresh valleys and sparkling blue coves to rustic mountain tavernas and cosmopolitan cafes. Head to Kos Town for a mixture of history and modernity or Kardemena for a luxury modern resort filled with activities and excitement for all. For a resort filled with ancient history Kefalos is the best place to go. The capital of Kos in ancient times, Kefalos is a delightful village clinging to a hillside on the west side of the island.
One of the gems of Greece’s Dodecanese island region, Kos is a land of postcard-ready beaches steeped in millennia of ancient history. Supposedly the birthplace of the great Hippocrates, Kos’s golden sands and sparkling blue waters now play host to over a million visitors a year.
If you’re one of the many who are set to enjoy the popular Greek island this year, why not complete your journey by organising your transfers from Kos airport with hoppa? We’re quick, hassle-free and reliable, meaning you can have complete peace of mind heading into your holiday.
To book with us, just fill in your basic travel information above and hit the ‘Search’ button. We’ll present you with a variety of transfer options from our providers, with both shuttle buses and private hire vehicles available.
Both our shuttle buses and private vehicles are guaranteed to get you to your accommodation and back smoothly, but there are a few differences between the services which might help you figure out which makes more sense for you.
When you search for your chosen transfers from Kos airport, you’ll see prices attached to each service available. The price that’s listed against your chosen transfer when you book will be the price you pay, regardless of any possible fluctuations in the figures in the future.
All our prices are live costings, so do move around a bit based on currency rates and local resort pricing, so don’t be alarmed if you search again and see a different price to the one when you booked – the price you secured with us won’t change.
OK, so you’ve chosen your transport to and from the airport – what’s next? You’ll be directed to our ‘Extras’ page, which has an ‘Anything we can help with?’ section to fill in. This is very important if you’re travelling with any special requirements – say, you require wheelchair access, extra space or are carrying additional luggage.
If you have any additional requirements that need catering for, this is the time to let us know. Once we know what you need, we can go about finding the right sort of vehicle to suit your journey.
Luggage allowance is set at one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per person, to align with the typical allowance you’ll get on your flight. If you think you’re going to exceed this limit, let us know in the ‘Anything we can help with?’ box and we’ll see what we can do to help out.
Likewise, if you have any luggage that needs special care and attention in transit, inform us and we’ll make sure to look after it.
Upon completing your booking of your airport transfers from Kos, we’ll send you through an e-ticket to the e-mail address you provided us. Treat your e-ticket as your trusted guide for the trip – you’ll need it as proof of purchase ahead of your journey and it also will provide you with the key information you need to ensure your trip runs smoothly.
We’d recommend printing a copy off beforehand, then you have both a print and online copy to hand during your transfer.
Your e-ticket has a section underneath the journey information titled ‘Find my pick up’. Simply follow the instructions listed in this section once you’ve landed to find your driver – instructions may differ slightly depending on the provider you’re using, and whether you’ve chosen to travel privately or via shuttle.
If you can’t find this information for whatever reason, give us a call via the number given on your e-ticket.
If you can’t find your driver, there is an emergency number listed on your e-ticket. Just give that a call if you need any help.
Don’t worry if your flight is running a little late, all you need to do is let us know. Our driver will wait for you up until 45 minutes after your flight’s scheduled arrival time in Kos, but give us a call on the emergency number to inform us even if you know you’ll be within the 45 minute window.
Beyond 45 minutes, again let us know as we’ll need to organise a different driver to pick you up. Beyond three hours, and you’ll need to rearrange your transfers with us and contact your travel insurance provider.
Based centrally on the Island, Kos Island Intl. airport is only around a 30-minute drive (23.5km) from the coastal town of Kos. At the airport, you’ll find a range of Hellenic duty-free shops offering a selection of premium brands and five cafes ranging from authentic Greek cuisine to a burger bar.
