Cancun Transfers, Taxis & Shuttles

Cancun is a Mexican city located in south-eastern Mexico, resting on the Yucatan Peninsula, on the Caribbean side of the country. For decades Cancun has been one of Mexico's top holiday spots.
Those adventuring to Cancun can expect a tropical climate with year-round warm temperatures. The city does experience a rainy season, but the temperatures remain comfortable throughout the year. Cancun averages a temperature of 27°C, making it a top spot 365 days a year.
Despite being a regular spring break destination for university students, Cancun offers more than just beaches and warm ocean water. Although beaches and warm water are great to spend a holiday relaxing in, Cancun has so much more for tourists. Guests can visit the ancient Mayan town of Chichen Itza, which has been registered as one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. The tucked away jungle town is also a UNESCO World Heritage site that displays the country's native past.
Tourists can also venture to Isla Mujeres and stop off for an afternoon’s snorkelling, to explore the coral reef below. Once in Isla Mujeres, guests can head further into the island to shop before relaxing on the beach to end the day.
Cancun's traditional recipes combine the flavours of Europe and Mayan culture. The peninsula is full of fish restaurants and markets selling fish. The Pescado Tikin Xic is a typical meal prepared in Cancun. It features grouper fish prepared with achiote and wrapped in banana leaves. It is then baked or barbecued to perfection.
Corn tortillas are eaten with most meals in Mexico. The Panuchos are tortillas cut in half and filled with black bean paste. Panuchos are then fried, topped with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Of course, travellers can also grab tacos at street food stalls and enjoy typical Mexican street food while on holiday, just like the locals.
Most of the city's visitors come for the nightlife and due to that, it makes for a non-stop party destination. Bear in mind that tourists headed to Cancun can expect long queues to get into the city's many clubs and discos. However once in, guests can expect a night like no other. Some bars allow customers to pay a set price before entering, which gives them the chance to drink all they want once inside. From beach bars to discos that go on all night in the city, Cancun has a nightlife unrivalled by any other city in Mexico.
