Arrivals
PDX runs from a single main terminal, so arrivals are simple: follow the signs from your concourse down to baggage claim, collect your bags, then head across the roadway to the Ground Transportation island where your driver is waiting with your name on a sign.
Private transfers
Your driver waits at the Ground Transportation island, the covered islands directly across the roadway from baggage claim, holding a sign with your name or the 'hoppa' logo. Do not wait at the passenger kerb outside the terminal doors, as private cars stage at the islands.
The MAX Red Line
The MAX Red Line platform is inside the terminal on the same level, so the train and your pre-booked car are only steps apart. Do not follow the crowd straight onto the MAX unless the train is your plan; the island is a short covered walk to the left.
Delays & Driver Info
1
Free waiting time
Your driver waits up to 60 minutes after your scheduled landing on domestic arrivals, with an additional 30-minute buffer on international arrivals to cover a slow bag belt or a long walk from the concourse.
Flight delayed or landing late?
Your driver tracks your flight from the moment you board, so the new landing time is theirs before it is yours. There is nothing to rebook and no one to call. If your gate or arrivals hall shifts, your named driver adjusts and still finds you at the Ground Transportation island.

Can’t find your driver?
Call the number on your e-ticket before booking any other ride. hoppa’s team picks up in an average of 11 seconds, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can see your driver’s location.
What to do around Portland?
If you have time before your transfer or flight home, the city and the mountains both reward an early start.
- Downtown: Powell’s City of Books, the food-cart pods, and the coffee roasters that made Portland a coffee capital as well as a beer city.
- Washington Park: the International Rose Test Garden and the Portland Japanese Garden, often called the finest outside Japan.
- Day trips: Multnomah Falls in the Columbia Gorge and skiing or hiking on Mount Hood, both an easy pre-booked drive from PDX.
