Once you have selected your transfer transport, you will reach the ‘Extras’ page, which features the ‘Anything we can help with?’ box.
This is your chance to tell us if you need to book an adapted vehicle for your motorised wheelchair or whether you plan on bringing any extra luggage along. Tell us as much as you can about what you need for your Berlin transfer so we can match this to your vehicle.
You can use shuttle buses to transfer to and from Berlin Airport. It is a low-cost option as you will be sharing the journey with other passengers. There are designated drop-off points on the route. Although there is a potential wait at Berlin's Airport for up to 45 minutes before departure to allow fellow bus passengers from other flights to arrive.
Private vehicles to and from Berlin Airport will allow you to travel with just the people in your group as well as the driver taking you directly to your accommodation and a scheduled pick-up time for meeting your driver, which is listed on your e-ticket.
When you’ve completed your booking, we’ll send you an e-ticket. This includes all the key information about your transfers, from pick-up times to contact numbers, so we recommend you read through it before you arrive in Germany. You’ll need to print it off, too, because your driver will ask to see it as proof of your booking.
One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per person is allowed on both our shuttle buses and private vehicles.
If you think you will be bringing more luggage with you, make sure you check that the vehicle you book can accommodate this. Also, remember to let us know in the ‘Anything we can help with?’ box so we can match your transport to your needs.
When you reach arrivals at Berlin Schönefeld International Airport, check the ‘Find my pick-up’ section of your e-ticket so that you know where you need to go to meet your driver.
Common directions for those arriving in Berlin instruct passengers to head to the arrivals hall, where a travel representative will be holding a sign displaying either the transport provider’s name, hoppa, or the name of the person who booked the transfers.
The joining instructions differ between transport providers and the type of transport you have selected for your Berlin transfer, so it’s important that you follow the directions you have been sent. If there is no pick-up information on your ticket, call the number in the ‘Find my pick-up’ section for information.
Sometimes our drivers can be delayed because of traffic. If you can’t see your driver at the pick-up point, call the number on your e-ticket for an update.
From delayed flights to luggage not turning up on time, we know that things don’t always go to plan, so we make sure your driver waits for you for up to 45 minutes after your original pick-up time.
If you’re running late – even if it falls within the 45-minute waiting time – let us know by calling the number on your e-ticket. This just gives us the chance to make alternative transfer arrangements for you if we need to.
We might have to send a different driver if you’re delayed for over 45 minutes and if your delay runs over three hours, you’ll need to rearrange your transfers with us. From there, you can claim through your travel insurance.
Berlin combines cool cultural highlights and culinary innovations with thought-provoking sites and poignant reminders of the past. It offers a city break like no other, which is why millions of visitors make their way to the German capital each year.
In fact, Berlin Schönefeld International Airport saw 12.7 million passengers land and take off in 2018, making it a busy hub for visitors. With its location just 13 miles from the heart of Berlin, it’s no surprise that this is such a popular airport for those seeking a smooth journey to the city centre.
The airport itself offers everything from shops selling the essentials such as sweets, drinks and souvenirs, as well as a range of eateries where you can grab a quick bite before your flight.
There’s also a selection of services available, such as baggage wrapping to protect your luggage and VIP areas where you can relax before take-off.
It’s just a 40-minute journey from the airport to the centre of Berlin. This means that your Berlin transfers with hoppa can get you from your flight into Germany to your accommodation not long after you land.
Like your journey in, your trip back to the airport depends on the type of transfer you choose.
If you opt for private Berlin Airport transfers, our driver will arrive at your accommodation at the time displayed on your e-ticket. Aim to be ready 15 minutes before your pick-up time and have your e-ticket with you to show the driver.
It’s worth choosing to receive SMS messages from us. This is because we’ll send you a text before you’re due to be collected, reminding you of your pick-up time.
Travelling by shuttle bus? We’ll text you your pick-up time 24 hours before your flight back if you’ve opted to receive texts from us, and you can also check online the day before. We advise you get to your pick-up point 10 minutes before your bus arrives and have your e-ticket ready.
Whichever type of transfer you’ve chosen, if your bus is late or you can’t see your driver, call the emergency number on your e-ticket and we’ll update you.
