You will be able to select the type of transport that suits you from our range of shuttle buses and private vehicles. The transport you choose will depend on how you want to travel to your accommodation in Hurghada.

All the airport transfers in Malta available from hoppa provide reliable and comfortable transport to and from your holiday accommodation. However, there are some differences between shuttle buses and private vehicles that it’s worth noting before you book.

If you choose to travel by shuttle, you will share the journey with other passengers and there are various drop-off points on the route. In contrast, it would just be you and your party travelling in a private vehicle, so you will be the only passengers and you’ll travel directly to your hotel or villa.

How you are picked up for your Malta transfers also varies between these two transport options. Private vehicle passengers have a scheduled pick-up time, which is included on the e-ticket that we send upon booking. Shuttle bus passengers, on the other hand, may have to wait for up to 45 minutes before they set off for their accommodation. This is because other people getting the same bus are likely to arrive on flights that get into Malta International Airport at different times.

Now you’ve completed your booking, you’ll receive an e-ticket from us. We suggest you read through this carefully before your flight to Egypt because it lists the key information about your transfers, from pick-up times to where to find your driver. Print it off, too, so that you can show it to your driver on both your inbound and outbound transfer journey.

Whether travelling by bus or private transport, you are allowed to bring one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per person.

When you arrive at Hurghada Airport, double-check the instructions for you in the ‘Find my pick-up’ section of your e-ticket so you know where to go to locate your driver.

Not all directions will be the same as they can vary based on transport provider and whether you’re taking the shuttle bus or hopping into a private vehicle. However, most pick-up directions will instruct you to head to the arrivals hall, where you’ll find your travel representative holding a sign displaying ‘hoppa’, the travel provider’s name, your name, or a combination of these.

If you can’t see any specific information about where you need to go for your Hurghada transfers, call the number on your e-ticket to find out where to find your driver.

If you follow the directions and get to the pick-up point on time but can’t see your driver, call the number on your e-ticket. We’ll be able to let you know where they are and how long they’ll be.

We know that things can run behind schedule. Flights arrive late and luggage can be held up.

Because of this, our drivers wait for up to 45 minutes after the original pick-up time. If you think you might be late for your pick-up time, call the number on your e-ticket to let us know. Even if this falls within the 45-minute additional waiting time, by updating us about the hold-up, you’re giving us the chance to make alternative transfer arrangements for you.

Should your delay run over the 45 minutes, we might have to send a different driver. If your delay runs over three hours, you’ll need to rearrange your Hurghada Airport transfers with us and contact your travel insurer.

There are some slight differences to your return transfer to the airport at the end of your holiday, depending on the type of transfer you choose.

For those travelling by private Hurghada Airport transfers, your driver will arrive at your accommodation at the time listed in the ‘Find my pick-up’ section on the return part of your e-ticket. We ask that you’re ready to leave 15 minutes before your pick-up time and remember to have your e-ticket with you to show the driver. You’ll also get a reminder text about your pick-up time if you’ve said you’d like to receive texts from us.

If you’re travelling back to the airport by shuttle bus, you’ll be able to check your pick-up time online 24 hours before your flight home. We’ll also text you your pick-up time the day before if you’ve opted to receive texts from us. Head to your pick-up point 10 minutes before your bus arrives and have your e-ticket ready.

Whether you’re getting back by bus or private car, if your transport doesn’t arrive on time, call the emergency number on your e-ticket and we’ll find out where your driver is.
