Should I book my transfer to Val d'Isère or to Tignes?

One Espace Killy pass covers both, so the skiing does not decide it. Your bed does. Tignes is 12 km further up, roughly 20 minutes on, and it takes a different turning off the same valley climb. Book the resort you are sleeping in, because the drop-off and the fare are not the same.

Can you get a train to Val d'Isère?

Not to the resort itself, because Val d'Isère has no railway station. Bourg-Saint-Maurice is the nearest and the end of the line, 31 km down the valley, and the climb up from there is still a road journey with your ski bags. A direct TGV from Paris is the version of the train that works.

Is there a shared shuttle from Geneva to Val d'Isère?

What if my flight is delayed by more than 2 hours?

Contact customer service to reschedule. If we can't pick you up at the new time, the order is cancelled without charge.

What if my flight is cancelled entirely?

Your transfer is cancelled free of charge. Contact customer service immediately so we can update the booking.

What if my flight is diverted to a different airport?

Contact us immediately. We'll do our best to reschedule your pickup — though we can't guarantee a free transfer if the new airport is in a different region or significantly further from your destination.

Where will I meet my driver?

24 hours before pickup we send a final SMS or WhatsApp with the exact meeting point and your driver's contact details. Meet & greet at the arrival gate is available on request, subject to airport policy — if not possible at the gate, we'll assign an alternative meeting point.

What if I'm stuck inside the airport (luggage, immigration)?

Use the emergency number on your e-ticket to call the driver or local supplier and let them know you're still in the terminal. The driver will wait through their free period and, if reached in time, can sometimes extend.

What counts as a no-show?

Not appearing within the free waiting period and being unreachable for additional time. No-shows are charged in full and non-refundable.

Val d'Isère sits at 1,850 m at the head of the Tarentaise, which is what makes its snow reliable and its access single-threaded. The Col de l'Iseran, the high road out the back of the resort, is closed all winter. Everyone arrives up the valley through Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

That has three practical consequences for your transfer:

The last 31 km is a climb, not a motorway. It is cleared and driven all winter by local operators, but it is the part of the journey where local knowledge earns its money.
Changeover Saturday is real. Val d'Isère, Tignes, Les Arcs and La Plagne all turn over on the same day, and the valley road carries the week's arrivals and departures at once. Allow more time, and let your driver plan the departure.
Winter equipment is not optional. French mountain roads require winter tyres or chains through the season, and every vetted operator on this route carries them as standard.

The resort itself is linked with Tignes as the Espace Killy ski area, so a transfer to either serves the same 300 km of piste. The road up the Tarentaise

From Geneva the route runs south on the A41 and A43 past Annecy and Albertville, then up the valley on the N90 through Moûtiers and Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Lyon, Grenoble and Chambéry all join the same valley road at or before Albertville, so the last hour is identical whichever airport you flew into.

The last 31 km

Above Bourg-Saint-Maurice the road climbs to 1,850 m through Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise and past La Daille. It is cleared and gritted all winter and driven daily by the local operators, but it is a mountain road with switchbacks, and it is the reason a driver who knows the route matters more here than on a motorway run.

Worth knowing: the Col de l'Iseran, the high pass above the resort, is closed all winter. There is no back way in. Every arrival comes up the Tarentaise, which is exactly why changeover Saturday concentrates.

Where you are dropped

Val Village — the centre, with the Solaise and Bellevarde lifts, the shops and most of the hotels

Le Fornet — the top of the valley, quietest of the three, with the cable car to the Glacier du Pissaillas

Staying in Tignes instead

Your first day on Espace Killy
