São Jorge Castle is one of the oldest structures in Lisbon. This was once a fortress (taken from the Moors in 1147), and now a must-see landmark with a fantastic view of the city.
Perched on the edge of the Atlantic is Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Facing the ocean it is defined by its rich maritime past, celebrated in the monumental Belém district and its Monument to the Discoveries. However, you don’t need Christopher Columbus to discover that a hoppa airport transfer from Lisbon International airport, the main gateway to Portugal, will whisk you easily from the arrivals terminal to Lisbon City Centre or onwards to the coastal regions of Cascais and Estoril where glorious beaches and vibrant nightlife await you, along with the culture and history of a region where the sea is still a part of life and you can visit the Roca Cape – the most western point of Europe.
One of the largest airports in Southern Europe, Lisbon airport is well equipped for your comfort during your pre-flight wait. It features the usual range of restaurants, duty free shops, left luggage and baby care facilities so you can rest assured you’re well catered for here. For those travelling for business rather than pleasure meeting rooms are available as well.
Portugal’s capital serves up modern living set against a magnificently historic backdrop. Filled with cobbled streets and ancient sites dotted across the city’s seven hills, this is a city with a story to tell.
If you’re heading to this captivating destination located on the banks of the River Tagus, make sure you’ve booked your Lisbon Airport transfers, too. Allow hoppa’s team of travel partners to take you to your holiday accommodation – and get you back in time for your flight home at the end of your trip.
Begin your booking by telling us your travel plans in the bar above and click the ‘Search’ button. You’ll then be given a list of vehicles that are available for your journey.
We offer two transport options for you at Lisbon Airport: private transfers and shuttle buses. Can’t decide between the two? Here’s a look at how they work:
The list of transport options you’re given for your holiday dates have prices listed with each private vehicle and shuttle bus that’s available for your Portugal stay. These prices are what you will pay when you book.
These are live estimates, however, which means that they can change based on resort pricing and fluctuating currency rates. So, if you search again for your Lisbon Airport transfers at a later date the cost might be different.
When you’ve chosen the transport that suits your needs, you can tell us more about your journey.
On the ‘Extras’ page you will see the ‘Anything we can help with?’ box. This is where you can let us know information such as whether you’ll have extra luggage, or you’ll need an adapted vehicle for your motorised wheelchair. We can then try to match the vehicle to your requirements.
We have a luggage allowance in place on all our shuttle buses and private vehicles. One piece of hand luggage and one suitcase per person is the standard limit.
If you are planning on bringing more luggage with you than this, check that the vehicle you book has enough room and let us know in the ‘Anything we can help with?’ box so that we have plenty of notice.
When you’ve completed your transfer booking, we’ll send an e-ticket to the email address you give to us. Essential information about your Lisbon Airport transfers is included in the e-ticket, such as where you need to go when you land in Portugal and key contact numbers.
It’s worth printing the e-ticket before you fly so you can present it to your driver for both your inbound and outbound transfers. We also suggest you read through it before you land so that you know the pick-up details when you reach the arrivals hall.
Follow the directions in the ‘Find my pick-up’ section of your e-ticket to find your transfer provider.
You are most likely to be directed to the arrivals hall where you’ll find a travel representative waiting for you. If you’re instructed to head to the arrivals hall, look for a representative holding a sign displaying ‘hoppa’ or your name.
The pick-up directions can depend on the transfer providers or the type of transport you’ve chosen, so it’s important that you follow the instructions on your e-ticket to find your driver. If there is no pick-up information on your e-ticket, call the number in the ‘Find my pick-up’ section to find out where you need to go when you get to Lisbon Airport.
If you can’t find your driver when you reach the pick-up point, call the number on your e-ticket for an update. Our drivers can sometimes be held up because of heavy traffic, but we will always be able to tell you how long they’ll be.
Do you think you’ll not make your scheduled pick-up time? Let us know as soon as you think you’ll be delayed by calling the number on your e-ticket.
Your driver will wait for up to 45 minutes. If your delay runs over this time, we will need to send another driver. For delays over three hours, you’ll need to rearrange your transfers with us and speak to your travel insurer.
