How do I book a Portugal airport transfer with hoppa?

Booking airport transfers in Portugal with us is easy. All you need to do is:

Which type of transfer should I choose?

You'll find a choice of transport options for the airports that serve Portugal. To help you decide whether you want to travel to your accommodation in a private vehicle or on a shuttle bus, here’s how they work:

Shuttle buses

• This is a low-cost option.
• You and the rest of your party will share the journey with other passengers.
• There are a number of drop-off points along the way.
• You may have to wait at the airport for up to 45 minutes to allow your fellow shuttle passengers from other flights to land in Portugal.

Private vehicles

• The only passengers in the vehicle will be the people in your party.
• There is a scheduled pick-up time for you to meet your driver, which is listed on your e-ticket.
• There are no other drop-off points and your driver takes you directly to your accommodation.

What happens when I’ve selected my transport?

Once you've selected your transfer transport for your Portugal holiday, you'll see a listing that tells you what's included in your package. This includes key details such as how much luggage you're allowed, your designated driver provider and transfer timings.

You can request an email quote if you want to come back to your search. Just save your preferences and then you can make your booking at another time. But we do recommend booking as soon as you can. When you book with us later, you may find the price has changed. This is because our quotes are based on live valuations that are influenced by changing currency rates.

If you are ready to book, hit 'Continue' and we'll ask for a few more details, including your contact information and pick-up and drop-off locations. This is so that we can prepare your transfers to and from your chosen airport in Portugal. Make sure you give us an accurate accommodation address so your driver can plan the journey.

We'll also ask for your flight information. This is so we can check to see if you've been delayed or if you're due to land earlier than expected.

Next, you'll see a secure payment page. Check the information and upon payment, we'll send you an email confirming your booking.

Where should I go when I get to Portugal?

You could be arriving at one of international airports in mainland Portugal: Faro, Lisbon or Porto. Whichever you arrive at, you'll find information about your transfer on your e-ticket. Check out the 'Find my pick-up' section, which details where you need to go to meet your driver.

The joining instructions can vary between transport providers and often depend on the type of transport you have selected, so follow the directions on your e-ticket. If there's no pick-up information, call the number in the ‘Find my pick-up’ section and we'll let you know where to go.

What if I can't find my driver?

If you can’t see your driver when you reach the pick-up point, they may be delayed due to traffic congestion. They'll be with you soon, but it's best to call the number on your e-ticket so they can tell you their ETA.

Heading home

If you’ve booked return Portugal transfers with hoppa, you’ll need to know where to meet your driver for your trip back to the airport.

By private transfer

If you've opted for a private transfer, your driver will arrive at your accommodation at the time given on your e-ticket. We recommend being ready 15 minutes before your pick-up time. You’ll also need your e-ticket with you to show to the driver.

We suggest you opt for SMS messages from us so we can send you a text to remind you when your driver will pick you up.

By shuttle bus

If you've chosen to travel by shuttle bus, and opted to receive SMS messages, we'll text you with your pick-up time 24 hours before your flight back. You can also check online the day before your flight home. We recommend getting to your pick-up point 10 minutes before your bus arrives. Make sure you have your e-ticket with you.

In the unlikely event your transfer doesn't arrive on time, call the emergency number on your e-ticket.
