Renowned for its breathtaking architecture, coffee-house culture and music scene, Vienna is packed full of charm unlike anywhere else in the world. Millions of tourists head here each year to experience its character, where Baroque palaces and medieval cathedrals are waiting to be explored. Of course, there’s plenty to see outside the capital too. Visit Tyrol to enjoy skiing on snow-capped mountains, Salzkammergut to set sail on vast lakes and Carinthia to meander through colourful towns.
Vienna’s International Airport is the gateway to this wonderful city and plenty of other destinations in the region. With over 27 million passengers travelling through the airport each year, the taxi queues can get long. Make sure you stay ahead of the crowd by booking your Vienna Airport transfers with hoppa before you leave. We’ll be there waiting for you when you land, so you can get your holiday started straight away.
Organising your airport transfer in Vienna is simple with us. All you need to do is enter your travel details into the boxes at the top of the page and hit ‘Search’. This includes your pick-up and drop-off locations, date, time and number of passengers. Once you’ve done this, you’ll be shown all the shuttle buses and private vehicles available for your journey and how much they will cost. When you’ve found the Vienna airport transfer for you, hitting the ‘Book now’ button will secure it.
We offer both shared and private airport transfers in Vienna, giving you the flexibility to choose the best option for you. If you’re not sure which to go for, here are your options.
The cost of your transfer will depend on several factors, including the distance of your journey, the type of vehicle you’d like and any optional extras you choose. For instance, the cost of travelling from Vienna airport to the city will be different than if you are travelling to one of the surrounding regions. To get a quote, simply enter your details at the top of the page. You will be shown the various options available, including both shared and private transfers. Please be aware that the prices you see today are live valuations and therefore subject to change in line with currency rates and resort pricing. This means that if you wait to book on another day, the cost may differ.
After you select your Vienna airport transfer, you’ll arrive at the ‘Extras’ section of the booking. This will tell you the luggage allowance for the vehicle, generally one piece of hand luggage and one suitcase per person. If you are travelling with items such as a wheelchair or golf clubs, you’ll have the option to add these onto your booking here in the ‘Anything we can help with?’ box. Can’t see this on the Extras page? Get in touch so we can help.
Yes. Once you have booked your airport transfer in Vienna, you’ll receive an email confirmation containing an e-ticket. This will be sent to the email address you provided during booking, so please make sure this is correct when you enter your details. The e-ticket contains all the important information about your journey, such as the pick-up time and date, and the drop-off destination. There are also emergency phone numbers on your e-ticket which you can use if you need to speak to us.
We recommend checking your e-ticket carefully before your departure date to ensure everything is correct. It may be worth printing it off and popping it in your hand luggage as you’ll need to show it to your driver before you set off.
The ‘Find my pick-up’ section of your e-ticket will tell you where to meet your driver once you land at the airport. We recommend you check this even if you have used our Vienna airport transfers before, as it may differ depending on the type of transfer you’ve selected.
Typically, you will meet your driver in the arrivals hall, where they will be holding a sign stating either your name, “hoppa” or the travel company’s name. If you can’t find information on where to find your airport transfer in Vienna, give us a call and we can help.
If you can’t find your driver at the designated pick-up time, please don’t worry. Sometimes, traffic or other unforeseen circumstances can make our drivers a little late. If you’re waiting at the meeting point and your driver isn’t there, please give us a call on the number on your e-ticket. We’ll be able to update you on their progress.
Please don’t panic if you are late to meet the driver of your airport transfer in Vienna. We understand that delays happen, for instance if your flight took off late or your suitcase took a long time to arrive at baggage claim. If you think you are going to be late, please give us a call on the number on your e-ticket. We can let your driver know that you’re running behind schedule.
Your driver will wait for up to 45 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time. If you are later than this, we’ll send an alternative driver to collect you. Should you be delayed by more than three hours, you’ll need to arrange another transfer with us and speak to your travel insurer.
If you’re heading from Vienna airport to the city, it should take around half an hour depending on traffic.
There are some great facilities in Vienna airport that will keep you busy before you take off. Those wanting to catch up on their emails or with loved ones back home can take advantage of free Wi-Fi in the terminal. There are four lounges to choose from, perfect for working or relaxing with a magazine. There are also conference and meeting facilities for those who need to take care of business.
Searching for a refreshing drink and a bite to eat before you board? Try one of the many bars and restaurants at the airport, serving a variety of local and international dishes. Or, why not shop ‘til you drop at duty-free where you can find great-value products including fragrance, cosmetics, alcohol and sweet treats.
The return leg of your journey may not be the highlight of your trip, which is why we want to make it as hassle-free as possible. Here’s what you need to know about the return journey:
If the driver of your airport transfer in Vienna is late, whether shuttle bus or private vehicle, please call the emergency phone number on your e-ticket.
