Whether you are an exchange student from the UK, a summer intern working in the heart of Europe or an au pair, you have the liberty to travel to escape to skyline-silver lakes in Austria or a winter wonderland where you can meet Santa Claus and see the Northern Lights.

We know that planning a trip to an unknown country can be tricky and overwhelming. Especially during peak tourist seasons, a cheap flight or train trip can become fairly expensive. The good news is, you can still travel all over Europe without having to sell a kidney or work four different jobs at the same time.

What is the secret?

Student travel trips in Europe are a budget-friendly way to explore the continent. They offer students the opportunity to explore multiple cities in one trip over just a weekend or multiple countries over longer trips of between four and seven days.

Most of the trips depart from Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium to the different European countries. Students travel to their set destinations by buses which usually depart on a Friday night, leaving ample time for exploration of a city on Saturday. Longer trips offer overnight accommodation in various places.

A friendly team leader accompanies the group and is tasked to provide some background information on the city you are travelling to. They also answer your questions or help you with any information you need.

Meeting new people

These trips offer a vast international atmosphere and are therefore the perfect way to meet new people from different countries all over the world and visit breathtaking places simultaneously. You can choose to stick to the group when exploring the cities or if you prefer to wander off on your own most of the trips supply a postcard and map for every city you travel to.

The student trips also provide information on affordable activities that the city has to offer. In Lapland, husky rides and snowmobile trips are a must and in Venice, gondola rides are the way to go.

These include:
