Cabo San Lucas (Los Cabos) Airport Transportation Fixed Price Taxis, Shuttles, Private Transfers & VIP SUVs From SJD To Your Hotel

Arrive happy with Los Cabos airport transfers & rides

Will my ride be there? (The hoppa guarantee)

The most common question we get is: "Will my transfer actually show up at SJD?"

At hoppa, we aren't a marketplace of random drivers. We are an end-to-end transfer system that connects you directly into a managed network of trusted, professional drivers for a guaranteed arrival.

When you book with us, you use a system trusted by global banks and major travel brands to move people safely. You do not have to risk getting into a random car from an unknown website.

  • We track your flight in real time, no matter if you land at Terminal 1 or 2. If your flight is delayed, no worries, you have 60 minutes of free waiting time.
  • We handle background checks, insurance, and highway tolls, so you do not have to worry about these details.
  • Safety comes first for us. All our drivers are licensed and carefully checked, so you will not have to deal with unlicensed taxis, price haggling, or extra stress.

Which Los Cabos airport transfer is right for you?

The drive from SJD can take anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour. We offer a range of services to meet every traveller’s needs.

Transfers available

to our most popular destination of Cabo San Lucas

Private Los Cabos transfers for executives, families & groups

If you want to get to your resort quickly, a private transfer is the fastest option. Our drivers meet you right at the terminal curb, which ride-hailing apps cannot do. You get to enjoy door-to-door service with no stops at other resorts. Driver takes you straight to your destination.

Private transfers are recommended when:

  • You want to avoid the wait times associated with shared shuttles.
  • You are travelling as a family and require specific safety seats.
  • You have heavy luggage, golf clubs, or surfboards.
  • You are heading to a private villa or a resort deep in the Corridor.

Our private vehicle tiers:

  • Standard: Reliable sedans and vans for cost-effective, direct travel.
  • Executive: Late-model vehicles offering enhanced comfort for business travellers.
  • Luxury: Premium SUVs (Suburbans/Escalades) for the ultimate Cabo arrival experience.

Important add-ons to select at checkout

To keep your trip safe and follow the rules, please add the right safety equipment when you book.

  • SJD is popular for golf and surfing. Items over 24 inches count as two pieces of luggage, so choose your vehicle carefully to avoid extra fees. If you need more space, book a van. Contact us if you need any help.
  • If you are travelling with children, request child safety seats when you book. Drivers cannot provide them on arrival. If a seat is not pre-booked and paid for, the driver may refuse the ride, and no refund will be given. Please give your child’s age, weight, and height at checkout so we can assign the right seat. Take note that child seats are paid add-ons.
  • If you are travelling for business, our luxury SUVs (Suburbans or Escalades) provide a quiet ride, English-speaking drivers, and a professional receipt for your expense reports.
  • If you need a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, please book one and tell us your needs in the "Special Requests" field. This helps us assign the right vehicle for you.

Group & wedding transfers from SJD

Moving a wedding party or large group through SJD requires more than just a large vehicle; it also requires good coordination. hoppa’s group booking system lets you combine multiple arrivals into one managed schedule, even if guests arrive on different flights. Our minibuses and coaches accommodate groups of 8 to over 50 passengers, and we can visit several resorts in a single trip if your group is staying at different places along the Corridor.

For weddings, we suggest booking at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance during peak season (December to April), since large vehicles fill up quickly. Contact our group support team to discuss staggered arrival times, multi-stop routes, and special pricing for groups of 15 or more.

Los Cabos shared shuttles for solo travellers & budget travellers

Your most affordable alternative

If you want the cheapest way to get from the Los Cabos airport to your hotel without dealing with the public bus or the unmarked vans sold inside the terminal, our shared shuttles are a good choice. Prices start at $15 per person, with the same trusted drivers and fixed pricing as our private transfers.

  • How it works: You share the ride with travellers heading to the same zone (San Jose, the Corridor, or Cabo San Lucas, Mexico).
  • Departure frequency: We group travellers bound for the same zone to minimise wait times. Most shared departures leave within 30 minutes of your landing, and you will be assigned to a zone group (San José, the Corridor, or Cabo San Lucas) before you arrive at SJD. Please refer to your e-ticket for specific details and instructions.
    • All shared vehicles are part of our trusted system and meet high safety and insurance standards. Even at our lowest price, you’ll get air-conditioned, well-maintained vehicles and carefully screened drivers.
    • Each person can bring one 24-inch suitcase and one carry-on as part of the base fare.

No surprise pricing – SJD transfer costs & travel times

At hoppa, we believe in clear pricing. Our rates are fixed and include all airport fees and tolls. The base rate covers your trip, and any extras you choose at checkout will be listed clearly.

Los Cabos airport transportation rates by destination

Please note that rates are estimated one-way, per vehicle (Private) or per person (Shared). Prices may change depending on your specific travel details.

We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and Amex

You’ll pay in full when you book to secure your vehicle. The total includes your base fare and any add-ons, like child seats. There are no extra charges at pickup unless you add stops or extra wait time on the day of travel. For any clarification, we are available 24/7. Reach out to us anytime.

Booking your round-trip (Don’t forget the return!)

Many travellers forget to book their return ride until they’re already at the resort, where local taxi prices are much higher.

  • Book your return transfer now to lock in today’s rates and save money.
  • For your flight home, we suggest scheduling your pickup at least three hours before your international flight. As a guide: if you’re staying in San José del Cabo (20 minutes from SJD), allow at least 2.5 hours. From The Corridor (30–40 minutes), allow 3 hours. From Cabo San Lucas (45–60 minutes in peak traffic), allow at least 3.5 hours. During peak season (December–April), add an extra 30 minutes for any zone.

Frequently asked questions people ask before booking

How far in advance should I book to avoid extra fees?

To avoid extra fees and ensure your vehicle is available, book at least 24 hours in advance for sedans or vans, and 48 hours for minibuses. During peak season (December to April), it's best to book 1–2 weeks in advance, as luxury SUVs and large vehicles fill quickly.

Where do I meet my driver at SJD?

SJD is famous for the "Glass Room" (the timeshare gauntlet). After customs, you’ll walk through a hall where people will try to sell you tours. Ignore them and keep walking until you are completely outside. Your driver will be in the designated "Pre-booked Transportation" area holding a sign with your name or “hoppa”.

What if my flight is late?

Don’t worry. We track SJD flight data, so if your flight is delayed, your driver will adjust the pickup time. You also get 60 minutes of free waiting time.

Do child seats cost extra?

Yes. Child safety seats are a special add-on and cost extra per seat. Please provide your child’s age, weight, and height at checkout so we can supply the right seat.

What happens if I forget to add a child seat to my booking?

Per the Service Agreement, child seats must be requested at the time of booking or communicated in advance of your scheduled arrival. If you land at SJD and require a child seat that wasn't pre-booked and paid for, the driver is legally permitted to refuse the ride to comply with safety regulations. In this scenario, no refund will be issued.

Are there any other extra charges?

The price shown at checkout is final for the service described. Extra charges only apply if:

  1. You book within 24 hours of arrival (Expedited Service Fee).
  2. You have luggage larger than 24 inches that exceeds the vehicle's capacity.
  3. You request additional stops or wait time beyond the included 60 minutes.
Are there extra charges for surfboards?

Yes. Oversized equipment (over 24 inches) incurs an extra charge and must be requested when you book. If you need help choosing the right vehicle for your luggage, contact our customer support team.

What is the tipping norm in Cabo?

Tipping isn’t required, but it’s appreciated for good service. Most people tip shuttle drivers $5 to $10 USD, or 10 to 15% for a private luxury transfer. Most drivers accept either USD or Mexican Pesos.

What is the cancellation policy?

We offer a flexible policy. For sedans and vans, you can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before your ride. For larger minibuses, we require 48 hours' notice.

Can I pay in cash on arrival?

No. To keep your price fixed and avoid taxi haggling at the terminal, all hoppa transfers must be prepaid by debit/credit card when you book. This makes your arrival contactless and secure.

Is it safe to travel at night?

Yes. The main highway, called The Corridor, is well-lit and safe. Our trusted drivers are trained to handle late-night arrivals and will take you straight to your hotel entrance, ensuring you’re checked in before they leave.

Can I use Uber at Los Cabos Airport?

While Uber works in town, they are not allowed to pick up passengers at the SJD terminal curb. To get an Uber, you often have to carry your luggage a long way to a highway pickup spot. Prices also go up during busy times, often costing more than a pre-booked private vehicle.

What about the public Bus (Ruta del Desierto), is it ideal?

The "Purple Bus" is the cheapest option ($5-$10), but it is not recommended for most vacationers. It does not allow large luggage, does not stop at all resorts, and can leave you with a 20-minute walk to your hotel lobby in the heat.

hoppa offers door-to-door service with air-conditioning, professional luggage handling, and 24/7 support. You won’t get these benefits with the bus or Uber at SJD.
