Arrivals
Zurich brings flights into two public arrival halls, Arrival 1 and Arrival 2, under one roof a short walk apart. Clear passport control, collect your cases, then pick up skis and oversized bags from the outsize baggage belt. Your e-ticket names the hall your driver is standing in and gives you a number to call.
Private transfers
Your driver waits in your arrivals hall, past the barrier, holding a sign that shows your name or the 'hoppa' logo.
Coaches
Walk out to the coach park on the forecourt, signed from both halls. Follow the coach signs rather than the rail ones.
Delays & Driver Info
1
Free waiting time
You get up to 60 minutes of free waiting after your flight lands. On an international arrival a 30-minute buffer is added before the waiting time starts, which covers the outsize belt handing back skis and boards.
Delayed, diverted or landing early?
Your driver follows your flight from the moment you board. Autumn fog on the plateau pushes Zurich arrivals around and occasionally sends one to Basel or Geneva. Your driver sees it before the hall does and will contact you to reposition or rebook. A delayed flight simply moves your pick-up, with nothing for you to do.

Can't find your driver?
Stay in your arrivals hall and call the number on your e-ticket. hoppa's team picks up in an average of 11 seconds, a 99.7% call answer rate: a real person, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The hoppa help centre answers most questions before you need to call.
What to do around Zurich?
If your flight home leaves late in the day, the lake end of the city repays a few hours.
- The Altstadt either side of the Limmat is walkable end to end in an afternoon, with the Grossmünster towers open to climb for the view over the roofs.
- Lake Zurich boats leave from Bürkliplatz and run as far as Rapperswil, and the short circular trip fits neatly into a spare morning.
- The Kunsthaus holds one of the strongest collections in the country, with a Giacometti room worth the entry on its own.
