It is the holy ground for all-night ravers but is also home of the more mellow sound of chill-out music and of course has the best location across the globe to listen to this – San Antonio’s sunset strip.Helping you decide if Ibiza could be the next holiday to add to your list, we have created a guide to show you that there is something here for almost everyone.  Best BeachesCala BassaA popular beach close to San Antonio popular with the locals, Cala Bassa is a truly beautiful destination and offers something for everyone. It is surrounded by a wooded area of ancient gnarled trees, boasts clear soft turquoise waters and golden sands. It is a popular family destination due to the amount of shade available and safe waters, great for any dare devils wanting to jump from the rocky and rustic terrain into a protected rock pool like area and a place for couples wanting to enjoy a romantic lunch at the beach club. It is a twenty-minute drive from Ibiza town and ten minutes away from San Antonio, although the best route from the bay is the ferry (where you will spot a hippy cave on the edge of a cliff as you enter this paradise bay). Cala d’Hort<img alt='' src='https://www.hoppa.com/resource/blog/uploads/2017/05/cala-dhort-ibizaspotlight.jpg' style='height:400px; width:740px' /><pre>Image Source: Ibiza Spotlight</pre> Half sand, half stones, Cala d’Hort is a small beach with the most magical view of the majestic island Es Vedra. It is accessed at the end of a very steep road, however, the backdrop of the cliffs makes up for this. Cala d’Hort is popular with those who came to see the inspiring view of Es Vedra. The tranquil setting and energies of this rock make it a popular location for meditation, yoga and other well-being activities. Ses SalinesClose to the salt lakes, Ses Salines is at the most southern tip of the island and is considered a very ‘cool’ place to be. Hidden by a pine wood boarder, it is a long crescent shapes sandy beach with the clearest of waters. Of course, being one of the most beautiful spots on the island, it has become increasingly popular so isn’t exactly the quietest of places. There is a string of bars and restaurants which serve gourmet food and cocktails while their Balearic and dance music spills onto the beach. Watch the steady stream of party parades as you relax on the beach, explore the water sports facilities or give body-surfing a go on winder days. Playa Illetes (Formentera)<img alt='' src='https://www.hoppa.com/resource/blog/uploads/2017/05/playa-illetes.png' />Formentera is the smallest and most southeryly of the Balearic Islands, and although it is not technically Ibiza, it is a place dreams of made of and is easily reachable by ferry. It boasts one of the most stunning beaches, Playa Illetes, which we can’t help but write about.In our opinion, Playa Illetes is the most beautiful beach on Formentera. Famous for its carbibbean feel, it has a stretch of white sand as far as you can see and the clearest of waters. It is not only a popular spot for Ibiza day trippers, but also the rich and famous – whose yatcht’s you will find boarding the waters of this small island. Where to stayThe three main destinations in Ibiza are Playa d’en Bossa on the east coast south of Ibiza town, San Antonio on the west coast, and the capital which is Ibiza town (yes, that’s it’s actual name). Playa d’en BossaPlaya d’en Bossa is home to famous clubs Ushuaia and Hi (which was once Space) and close to many others making it the most popular destination with clubbers. It has the longest beach on the island with many beach bars, including Bora Bora, and offers everything from budget to luxury. Ibiza Town<img alt='' src='https://www.hoppa.com/resource/blog/uploads/2017/05/ibiza-town.jpg' style='height:494px; width:740px' />The capital of the island, Ibiza Town (named Eivissa in Catalan) has something for everyone, but is probably most popular for its buzzing nightlife all year round. It is home to the islands beloved Pacha nightclub, world-class restaurants (including Leo’s), rustic cafes in the pretty old town and trendy bars at the Marina. San AntonioSan Antonio has a lively atmosphere both day and night, but also has an array of chill out bars – great for those times you’ll want to relax. It is also home to the world famous sunset strip where you can tuck into award winning food or enjoy a cocktail whilst watching the sun sink into the sea. San Antonio is not only home to infamous clubs Eden and Es Paradis and Ocean Beach Club, but also the west end - where can expect to find the cheapest drinks. Best for families Es Cana<img alt='' src=' https://www.hoppa.com/resource/blog/uploads/2017/05/escana-thomson.jpg' style='height:417px; width:740px' /><pre>Image Source: Thomson</pre> Offering the best of both worlds, Es Cana can be both relaxing and lively. It has a cresent beach with golden sands (as well as beautiful unspoiled beaches nearby which can be reached on foot), lively pubs, a choice of family friendly bars and restaurants and fashionable chill-out lounges. Cala LlongaA place where you can guarantee your family with have the most fabulous holiday, Cala Llonga certainly caters for all. It has everything from water activities, family friendly bars and restaurants, and fun hotels. It is close to both Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia (where there is an elegant harbour), which also makes it a popular destination for couples. San Antonio Bay<img alt='' src='https://www.hoppa.com/resource/blog/uploads/2017/05/san-antonio-bay.jpg' />South of the bustling area of San Antonio, the Bay is a lot more relaxed and has a very friendly atmosphere. This beautiful bay has panoramic views out of the island and the most amazing sunset. It also has a beach which boasts crystal clear waters and a collection of shops to wonder around in the day. You will be spoilt for choice at night, deciding whether to visit the live shows and music or walk around the bay to enjoy a cocktail at one of the many chill-out bars. Like Cala Llonga, San Antonio is also a great location for couples planning a day of two off from the parties. Things To DoIbiza Town ShoppingIbiza Town is the capital of the island and really does offer something for everyone. There is a brilliant selection of boutiques and high-end fashion stores for those who like to shop, art galleries and museums for those who are interested in culture and history, and the ancient citadel of Dalt Vila for those who like to explore – although we suggest everyone take a visit here. You can walk up and through this ancient building and find the most spectacular view across Ibiza, you may even spot some nuns on your way too. As you follow the path back round, you will find the most rustic restaurants and bars serving some of the best food, and finish at the port where you can enjoy a drink as you admire yachts owned by the rich and famous. Sunset Strip<img alt='' src='https://www.hoppa.com/resource/blog/uploads/2017/05/sunset.jpg' style='height:382px; width:667px' />The most magical spot on the island, the sunset strip in Ibiza is what dreams are made off. Perched on the edge of San Antonio, it is a one of the coolest places to be. Enjoy your dinner in this majestic spot or indulge in a cocktail as you listen to some of the best chill-out music played by world famous DJ’s. You can sit back and relax as you watch the sun sink into the horizon and see the fire dancers step out as they celebrate the day. Trip to FormenteraCatch a ferry from Ibiza Town, Santa Eulalia, Playa d’en Bossa or San Antonio Bay and embark on a day trip to Ibiza’s sister island, Formentera. Visit one of the many stunning beaches which are often compared to the Caribbean (we have discussed our favourite above) or hire a bike to escape the crowds and admire the scenery. Hippy Market<img alt='' src='https://www.hoppa.com/resource/blog/uploads/2017/05/hippy-markt-ibiza.jpg' style='height:482px; width:740px' />The famous Hippy Market is one of Ibiza main attractions and is visited by many holidaymakers. With artistic roots going back to the 60’s due to the islands unique atmosphere and sense of freedom, there are many hand-made items you will find which reflect this. If you are looking for fitting jewellery or clothing to wear on your trip, or would like to take a true Ibiza keepsake home, this is the place to go. Ocean ManiaPart of Ocean Beach Club, Ocean Mania is Ibiza’s first inflatable water park and makes a brilliant day out for people of all ages. It is located in front of Ocean Beach Club in San Antonio Bay and is an inflatable obstacle course covering 7,000 sqft. You can jump on the floating trampolines, practise your balance on the beams and slide down the slides, although expect to be tired out after as it’s not as easy as you might think.  Infamous ClubsAmnesia<img alt='' src='https://www.hoppa.com/resource/blog/uploads/2017/05/amnesia.jpg' style='height:494px; width:740px' /><pre>Image Source: Amnesia</pre> Probably one of the most quintessentially Ibiza clubbing experiences, opposite to the name, it is home to some of the most islands unforgettable club scene moments. It has two rooms with the main arena guarded by ice cannons (striking at any moment) but flooded with light as the sun rises. Dc10As was when it first opened in the late 90’s, DC-10 is a hedonistic fiesta which was once totally off the radar. Now famous for, well, just for being famous, it is like no other club on island and does little to publicity and had ultimate success through providing it’s quality music. Despite it’s now elevated position, it offers a unique clubbing experience and is the island true home to of underground club. Dance your afternoon away in the famous as you watch the planes join the island with almost touching distance (as you’ll be at the end of the runway). EdenA super club since the 90’s, Eden is back and better than ever. It now boats one of the best sound systems on the island thanks to its new owners and is home to more underground house and tech nights. Pacha<img alt='' src='https://www.hoppa.com/resource/blog/uploads/2017/05/pacha-inHedit.jpg' style='height:416px; width:740px' /><pre>Image Source: inHedit</pre> A club whose reputation has grown along with the islands, Pacha is one of the most dominant clubbing brands in the world. Created in Ibiza in 1973, the venue in Ibiza Town is very much it’s heart and home. Subsequently, Pacha has become not only a club but also a tourist attraction. It still boasts some of the biggest line-ups the island has to offer and hosts all styles from electronic music, house to pop classics. Hi IbizaA venue which was once home to Space has now become Hi Ibiza. Although not much information has been given since the recent transformation we are sure it will sport a sleek new look, and with it being owned by Ushaia Entertianment, we have high hopes it will remain one of the best and can’t wait to see what it’s new life holds. PrivilegeOfficially the world’s biggest club, Privilege is famous for its open-air clubbing in the 70’s and 80’s and like Pacha, it is part of Ibiza’s story. Your clubbing experience in Privilege will be unlike any other, not just due it’s enormity, but it’s world famous history and lasting reputation. Exploring the club layer upon layer, you will find a swimming pool at its centre and its glass-encased Vista Club – a haven for house and techno raves. Day PartiesOcean Beach Club<img alt='' src='https://www.hoppa.com/resource/blog/uploads/2017/05/ocean-beach-club.jpg' style='height:493px; width:740px' /><pre>Image Source: Ocean Beach Club</pre> Offering one of the most lavish experiences on the island, Ocean Beach is the ideal daytime destination to party in the sun. As you lay back on one of the lavish daybeds, watch the aerial artists swing above you, the saxophonist play as she floats through the water and beautiful dancers move to the Balearic beats created up headline artists. Blue MarlinA glamourous beachside watering hole home to the rich and famous, Blue Marlin is the place to be if you want to live it up VIP style. Having become so popular with the rich and famous, they have officially employed their own water taxi service whether they ferry exclusive clientele to ferry the exclusive clientele from their private yachts to the bar. Nestled in the beautiful bay of Cala Jondal, it has a pebbled beach but overlooks the most picturesque waters. With a license to party until the early hours of 4am, it is an actual party destination with live music from regular house and techno DJ’s. Ushuaia<img alt='' src='https://www.hoppa.com/resource/blog/uploads/2017/05/ushuaia-clubtickets.jpg' style='height:411px; width:740px' /><pre>Image Source: Ushuaia</pre> As stated by themselves, ‘the success of Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel is no accident’. Hosting possibly the best open air parties on the island, it has launched world famous DJ’s to stardom but is also loved by those already established, becoming one of the most celebrated stages and pools in Ibiza.
