Namur
Namur is a city and a municipality a little south of the centre of Belgium in the Namur province. Namur is in a strategic position on the confluence of the Sambre and Meuse rivers and changed hands often between the counts of Flanders, France, Netherlands, Austria, Germany, England and Belguim. Today it is a commercial and industrial centre on the Walloon backbone producing machinery, leather goods, porcelein and metals. It is also a rail junction. The castle was first mentioned in the 7th century. It had to be rebuilt a number of times .
