Larnaca Bay

Larnaca Bay stretches to the north of the city of Larnaca, the third largest city on Cyprus, the divided Greek and Turkish controlled island in the eastern Mediterranean. Larnaca is in the Greek Republic of Cyprus and is home to the island’s main international airport. The bay takes in the resort town of Pyla as well as the city’s own beaches.

For many years, tourists have passed through Larnaca heading for the island’s famous beach resorts. But the city is now developing as an attractive destination in its own right. The sea-front has been developed into a long, pretty promenade with gardens and terrace restaurants. When a huge new cruise ship terminal is completed even more visitors are likely to call in.
