The Christmas season is upon us, with so many events, family and work parties, December becomes a busy month. One thing every house stocks up on over Christmas is food, and there’s plenty of treats going around.
Last year we created a blog post on Christmas desserts and how to make them. We’ve decided to carry on the tradition and list a bunch of new Christmas treat ideas.
Strawberry Santas
First on our list is Strawberry Santas. These are super easy to make and are perfect for the Christmas period.
All you need is:
- Strawberries
- Vanilla Frosting
- Black icing gel

Peanut Butter Cup Christmas Trees
These tasty treats are easy to make and perfect if you're obsessed with chocolate!
Ingredients:
- 1 Halloween sized Reese's Peanut Butter Cup
- 2 Mini Peanut Butter Cups (NOT Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups – They are way too small to make a proper sized tree. The foil wrapped ones I used were from the bulk store.)
- 1 Hershey’s Kiss
- Wilton Pre-Made White Decorating Icing
- Rainbow Nonpareils Sprinkles
- Miniature star sprinkles
- Wilton decorating tip #3
- Decorating Coupler

Rudolph Christmas Cookies
These Rudolph Christmas Cookies can be made in 5 minutes! They're simple to make and perfect for kids!
All you’ll need is:
- Double stuffed Oreos
- Mini Pretzels
- Frosting
- Red M&Ms/Smarties

Gingerbread Cookie Christmas Tree
A popular choice, gingerbread! These Christmas Tree Cookies are perfect for family parties and events, they're simple to make and all the family can join in decorating the cookies.
You will need:
- Gingerbread cookies
- A variety of tree cutters
- Royal icing
- Decorating tips (I used #2 and #3)
- Gel paste food colouring: red, green, yellow
- A variety of decorations: sanding sugar, sprinkles

Another great idea for gingerbread cookies is cookie rings, you can decorate these how you want and turn them into Christmas tree ornaments!
Hot Chocolate Cookie Cups
This Christmas treat idea may take a little longer than the rest but we loved this idea.
You will need:
- Sugar cookie dough
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp. hot cocoa mix
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 12 mini pretzels
- 1 cup marshmallow bits
