Arrivals
Athens has a single passenger terminal, so every flight arrives at the same place. After passport control and baggage reclaim, follow the signs into the ground-floor arrivals hall. Your e-ticket lists your exact meeting point and a phone number to call if you cannot see your driver.
Private transfers
Your driver waits in the arrivals hall on the ground floor, just past the exit from baggage reclaim, holding a sign with your name or the 'hoppa' logo.
Shared shuttles & coaches
Walk to the ground-floor pickup zone just outside arrivals for the shared shuttle and coach pickup point. Follow the signs, not the taxi rank at Exit 3.
Delays & Driver Info
1
Free waiting time
Your driver waits up to 60 minutes after your scheduled landing, with an additional 30-minute buffer once you have cleared passport control — useful when the queues at the non-Schengen gates are long.
Delayed or diverted?
Your driver tracks your flight from the moment you board. If weather diverts you to Thessaloniki or another airport, they know before you land and will contact you to reposition or rebook. A delayed flight simply moves your pickup — there is nothing for you to do.

Can't find your driver?
Head to the information desk in arrivals and call the number on your e-ticket. hoppa's team picks up in an average of 11 seconds, a 99.7% call answer rate (CE indicators): a real person, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
What to do around Athens airport?
If you have time before your transfer or your flight home, Athens and the Attica coast reward an early start.
- Walk the Acropolis, the Ancient Agora and the Plaka lanes in the heart of the city, about 40 minutes from the airport.
- Drive down to Cape Sounio for the Temple of Poseidon at sunset, about 50 minutes along the coast.
- The Athens Riviera at Glyfada and Vouliagmeni is 25–30 minutes away for beaches, marinas and seaside tavernas.
