Mesotopos

Mesotopos

Mesotopos is a small village in the southwest of Lesbos, Greece. It is home to the Petrified Forest, an area of trees covered in volcanic ash after a volcanic eruption. It is also one of the best locations in Europe to see migrating birds. The variation of the landscape offers a rich diversity of foods for countless species of birds and, as a result, this area is a haven for birdwatchers who arrive in large numbers in the spring, late April and early May. This is also a good time for a visit because nature is at its prettiest with an explosion of beautiful wildflowers during that period.

Hoppa offers low cost transfers in Mesotopos and surrounds.
