Where exactly does my driver meet me at Cancun Airport?

Inside the arrivals hall of your terminal, Terminal 3 for most US and Canada airlines, Terminal 4 for additional US carriers. Your driver holds a sign with your name. Walk out of customs, past the timeshare touts, and look for the meet-and-greet area inside the terminal, not at the kerb.

Should I fly into Tulum Airport (TQO) instead of Cancun?

Tulum International Airport (TQO) opened in December 2023 and is roughly 25 minutes from Tulum town. It is a good option if your airline flies there, currently Aeromexico, Viva, Delta, JetBlue and a handful of others. Cancun still handles the majority of US, Canadian and European flights. hoppa serves both, so book TQO as your pickup if your flight lands there.

Are child seats included?

The first child seat is free, so add it at booking and it will be fitted and ready when your driver pulls up. Without an advance request, the driver can refuse the ride and no refund is given, so do it when you confirm the vehicle.

Are pets and service animals allowed?

Yes, both are permitted. They count toward your vehicle's passenger allowance, so a family of four with a dog should book a private car suited to five.

What's the standard luggage allowance?

One piece per passenger, standard size 24 inches. Anything over 24 inches counts as two pieces. If you are bringing surf gear, scuba kit or oversize cases, flag it at booking so your driver brings the right vehicle.

Is there a nighttime surcharge?

Yes, between 22:00 and 08:00 local time a nighttime surcharge applies for arrivals and departures inside that window. It is shown in your fixed price before you book, not added at the kerb.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. Vehicles up to 7 seats: full refund more than 24 hours before travel. 8-14 seater vehicles: more than 48 hours. 16+ seater coaches: more than 14 days. The refundable upgrade option extends cancellation to within hours of travel.

How far ahead should I book?

Book at least 24 hours before travel to avoid the expedited booking fee. For Christmas, Spring Break, Easter and Day of the Dead week, book one to two weeks ahead, because Tulum availability tightens fast.
