Steamboat Springs

The City of Steamboat Springs is home to world-class skiing, year-round recreational opportunities, and a vibrant western culture - all surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in the world. Explore our community and learn why so many people choose to make Ski Town USA their home.

Ski Town USA, Steamboat has had a jumping arena since 1913, a downhill ski area since the mid 1960s, and has trained more Olympians than any other town in the US.
Steamboat has also been well known for its healing hot springs since its foundation in the late 1880s, and gets its name after the bubbling geiser that sounded like the Mississippi river boats.

Steamboat is no stranger to the ranching life as well; a regular stop of the Pro Rodeo Circuit, the town is surrounded with generations of experience in wrangling, farming, and cow and sheep ranching.

Visitors can enjoy the splendor of outdoor experiences here, from wildflower and waterfall hikes in the spring, ATVing and flyfishing in the summer, hunting the enormous elk in the fall, snowmobiling, skiing, and dogsledding in the winter, and hot-air ballooning all year round Steamboat is a mecca of wilderness adventure

Hoppa offers low cost ski transfers to all the popular ski resorts in and around Steamboat Springs.
