With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we’ve taken a look at the best European cities for romantic getaways on a budget, as showing your loved ones how much they mean to you needn’t cost a fortune.Our latest report uncovers the cheapest and most expensive average costs for accommodation, meals and drinks for a romantic European trip for two. Whilst <a href='https://www.hoppa.com/en/france/paris'>Paris</a> and <a href='/en/italy/venice-marco-polo-intl-airport'>Venice</a> often top the list of the most romantic cities in the world, they are also, not surprisingly, amongst the most expensive too, totalling £212.84 and £276.48 a night respectively.<a href='/en/ukraine/kiev'>Kiev</a> is revealed as the cheapest destination for a romantic getaway, costing just £56.97 for a room and meal with drinks for two. Fortunately for lovebirds, Kiev isn’t shy of romantic locations, including The Lovers’ Bridge, host to many of the city’s proposals, and Zamkova Hora (Castle Hill) where couples can admire the view over the city as well as each other.<a href='/en/romania/bucharest-henri-coanda-intl-airport'>Bucharest</a> takes silver as the second cheapest location for a romantic break, costing £71.93. Once known as ‘Little Paris’, Bucharest offers couples a lot of what the French capital has to offer, but on a budget, thanks to its romantic architecture, galleries and beautiful gardens.You can check out the full rankings below.
