Madeira has it all, from adrenaline-filled activities at Caniço de Baixo to cultural treats at Funchal. If you’ve arranged your getaway to Portugal’s popular island region and just need to book your Madeira Airport transfers, choose hoppa.
Our transfer providers offer an efficient, reliable trip to your accommodation – and if you’ve booked return transfers with us, you’ll be driven back to the airport in time for your flight, too. So, all you’ll need to do is relax and enjoy your stay in the sun.
Book your Madeira Airport transfers with us by filling out your travel details in the boxes at the top of this page. Click on the ‘Search’ button and you’ll then be given a choice of private vehicles and shuttle buses for your trip.
To help you choose your transfer transport, here’s an overview of what both options offer:
If you’re working out how much Madeira Airport shuttle bus transfers will cost or you’re pricing up a private vehicle, you’ll see exactly how much you’ll spend on your journey when you hit the ‘Search’ button at the top of this page. The price you’re given on the site when you book your transfers is what you pay for your transport.
As the amounts listed for the transport options available for Portugal trip are live valuations, they are subject to change based on the currency rates and resort pricing. Therefore, if you return to your search at a later date, the prices for your transfers might be slightly different to those given when you first started your search.
After you select your preferred transport option, you will reach the ‘Extras’ stage of your booking, which includes the ‘Anything we can help with?’ box.
Here, you can tell us about what you need for your transfer journey, from an adapted vehicle to accommodate your motorised wheelchair to a minibus to accommodate your golf clubs. We’ll try to match your vehicle to your requirements.
We have a standard luggage allowance of one piece of hand luggage and one suitcase per person on our shuttle buses and private vehicles. Should you be bringing more than this with you, check that the vehicle has the space for your additional items when you book.
Once you complete your booking, we’ll send an e-ticket to your email address. This is an important document that includes key details about your transfers, such as contact numbers and pick-up information, so we recommend you read through this carefully before your flight.
We also advise that you print it off before you fly. This is because your e-ticket is also your booking confirmation and by having a copy in your hand, you can easily show it to driver for both your inbound and outbound transfers.
You will need to make sure you have your e-ticket ready when you arrive into Madeira Airport. Check the instructions in the ‘Find my pick-up’ section so you know where to go to find your travel representative.
The joining directions can vary based on transport provider and whether you’re travelling by shuttle bus or private vehicle. Most instruct passengers in Madeira to head to the arrivals hall where they’ll find a travel representative holding a sign displaying the transfer partner’s name or the passenger’s name.
It’s important that you read through the ‘Find my pick-up’ section carefully. If you can’t see any information about where you should go for your Madeira Airport transfers, call the number listed on your e-ticket to find out where you need to go.
Sometimes traffic jams can cause our drivers to run a little behind schedule. If you reach your pick-up point on time and your driver isn’t there, call the number on your e-ticket. We’ll be able to let you know how long they’ll be.
If you’re going to be delayed getting into Madeira because your flight’s running late or your bags haven’t arrived yet, don’t worry. Call the number on your e-ticket to let us know and our driver will wait for up to 45 minutes after the original pick-up time. By calling us, you’re giving us enough notice to find an alternative driver for you.
We’ll send a new driver to you if you’re running over 45 minutes behind and for delays that run over three hours, you’ll need to rearrange your airport transfers with us and contact your travel insurer.
Named in honour of one of Madeira’s most famous sporting exports, Madeira International Airport Cristiano Ronaldo is ideally located just 13 miles from the island region’s capital, Funchal. It’s this proximity that means many refer to it as Funchal Airport.
As a passenger, you’ll find plenty on offer here, from shops selling well-known names to cafés where you can grab a quick bite and restaurants serving tapas. There’s also a Duty Free store, VIP lounge and free, unlimited Wi-Fi access.
